Memoir

“Nasasabik sa unang araw ng eskwela” sabi nga sa kanta ng Kamikazee. It was a day of mixed emotions which will permanently remain in my memory. As I face the new journey of my life, I couldn’t stop thinking what will happen to me in the next few days. I was indeed nervous and I was like, yun na yung bakasyon? senior high na talaga ako?

I woke up early because I was too excited for the first day, a fresh start I couldn’t wait. Pero wala naman ng bago sa trade kasi dito rin naman ako nagtapos ng junior high. And as I stepped into the gate, I knew right away where should I go. As i walked through the hallway, I kept on thinking “this is it, shs life”. Nakita ko agad ang mga kaibigan ko at syempre nagbatian kami kasi ang iba sa amin ay hindi na namin magiging kaklase ulit. It was sad at first, but we know that it is for our own good. We waited so long at the gymnasium and we didn’t know that our adviser is waiting in our room🤣. So as we stepped into the door of our new classroom, we saw few different people. We thought that we only have 2 transferees, but suprisingly we have 12 new classmates. Happiness was built in our faces together with our adviser Mrs. Gracie Ann Dy.

The rest of the day is a blur of class instructions. I met people that I know we’re gonna be friends in a few more days. I got home later in that day and headed straight to my room to take a nap. Later that night, I thought to myself that first day is over with a lot more to go through before I see the summer time again. And then I fell asleep and dreamt of crazy things.
